The records an STMS keeps on a traffic management site, laid out in the order the day runs: inductions, risk assessment, onsite record, monitoring, temporary speed limits and variations. Filled in on site, signed on the screen, and back with the office as one job record.
Inductions
Site inductions with a signature from every person
Each person on site signs on with their own signature. The sign-on records their role, their CoPTTM or NZGTTM ID number and a PPE check (hi-viz, hard hat, steel caps and the rest), and the induction register prints with the job.
Risk assessment
Risk assessments from your own HRC library
Build your company's hazards, risks and control measures once, with inherent and residual risk codes. The STMS pulls the ones that apply onto each job and adds anything specific to the site, so the wording stays consistent across every job sheet.
Onsite record and monitoring
Setup, monitoring and changes, as they happen
The onsite record covers the setup, and each monitoring check is stamped with its time and signed. Checklist ticks carry the time they were done, so the record shows when things happened rather than when someone wrote them up.
TMP variations and site notes go on the variation register, each with a photo, a GPS position and the STMS's signature. The approved TMP can be attached to the job, and the NZGTTM field calculator is on hand for the numbers.
Temporary speed limits
TSL records with GPS and a photo
Each TSL entry can carry a GPS stamp and a photo of the roundel, and shows how long it has been in place. If a TSL is still recorded as out after the day, the STMS and the office get a reminder on their phones so signs are not left out overnight. Your company decides whether a photo is required.
Close-out
One signed record per job
At the end of the day the job closes out into a PDF with the inductions, risk assessment, onsite record, monitoring, TSLs, variations and photos, emailed to the office and the STMS. It all works with no signal on site; see how the offline side works.
